As part of the Emergent Exhibition with Look Again Aberdeen, these images were inspired by interaction with a scientific teaching aid created by the Krantz company (Dr Friedrich Krantz), the object a glass crystal with coloured threads linked to my understanding of Line theory (as written by Dr Tim Ingold), and the idea of a space being mapped by the lives of people interacting in the space, as visualised by the threads.
The images I exhibited are based around previously 'lived in' and now abandoned spaces within Deeside, and how the sense of place in these spaces has changed over time.
